Twelve years ago, I began my studies as an herbalist after my children were chronically ill. I was getting tired of urgent care visits and doctor’s offices. So, I began researching and studying blog posts. After hours of reading, I reached into my pantry for common spices like cinnamon, grabbed the closest honey jar and began combining things. Voila! Not only did I make something that would soothe their coughs and ease their scratchy throats, but it tasted good and it was easy to prepare. Shortly after this experiment I found a great team of doctors in pediatric naturopathic medicine, Chinese medicine, and homeopathic medicine. I surrounded myself with like-minded Moms and learned from them as well. Shortly thereafter I started my studies at Vintage Remedies in Western Herbalism and science-based Herbalism.
I have worked alongside some amazing people helping them to maintaining their goals and improving their health.
Several times a year you can find me at a conference, up to my elbows in soil, deep in books, or enrolled in classes. All of these experiences have deepened my knowledge in herbs and my desire to share that knowledge with you.
